A new gallery site for Illustrator Gabrielle Izen which reflects the character of the artist and provides a clean and light environment for showcasing the work.

About the site

The new site concentrates on presenting the viewer with the opportunity to explore Gabrielle's four main areas of work, namely Illusration, Calligraphy, Graphic Design and Greetings cards. The work is viewed within in a central area through the use of a visitor controlled scrolling function, with a thumbnail gallery to the left providing a summary of the slider content for for each page. The site is hosted on the Business Catalyst platform and has the facility to become eCommerce enabled in the future to facilitate the sale of Greetings cards and Notecard packs and allow customer interaction and feedback via the built in database and HTML eMail functionality.

About the artist

Gabrielle lives and works in Sevenoaks, Kent producing commissioned illustrations and bespoke gifts for a wide range of business and private clients. Her drawing style is both narrative and playful, using a light hearted mix of coloured pencil and often including typographic and scripted elements. The end result is generally a warm and welcoming composition which engages the viewer directly, inviting them to explore the subject matter and accompanying text further as well as creating harmony and adding balance to the composition of a printed or web based page.
